Honda is planning for a huge show at the 2008
Australian Motorcycle Expo, the biggest yet for the number one manufacturer
in Australia.
Honda's comprehensive motorcycle range, including the award winning
CBR1000RR Fireblade, space age DN-01 cruiser, RC212V MotoGP bike,
brand new CRF450R and ARX1500 Personal Watercraft will all be on
display, as will the majority of their road and off road bikes and
scooters.
Visitors will have the opportunity to snap a photo with the "Honda
Girls", buy something from the merchandise range at special
show prices (including race wear), and grab some free stickers and
temporary tattoos for big and little kids alike.
Of interest to Melbourne commuters, Honda's full range of popular
and incredibly fuel efficient scooters will be there including the
all-new SH300i, always popular Today50, powerful Silverwing, Lead100
and much more.
For those after luxury, the Honda Gold Wing Lounge will exhibit
the latest versions of the most comfortable and elegant cruising
bike on the market. With an airbag (deployed for viewing), GPS and
premium audio system, the Gold Wing needs to be seen to be believed.
The Snowy Ride group will also be on hand to provide information
on their annual Honda sponsored fundraising event, and to offer
all visitors the chance to win an amazing custom painted CBR1000RR
Fireblade.
Well known Victorian policeman Senior Constable Rod Lay, Honda's
World Police Games champion and eco friendly 'online off road tours'
organiser, will also be on hand to show off his competition winning
dirt bike as well as talk to kids about responsible riding.
Those interested in training can have a go on the Honda Australia
Riding Training (HART) Riding Simulator, a virtual tool used to
develop riders' hazard perception skills. HART instructors will
also be available to talk about training options for both new and
returning riders.
For racing fans, full replica versions of the 2008 Australian Superbike
Championship winning CBR1000RR ridden by Glenn Allerton will be
on hand, as will the exact bikes used to win this year's Australian
Finke and Safari desert races and Australian Off Road Championships
including the CRF450R and CRF250X.
The Australian Motorcycle Expo begins on Thursday, 30 October at
the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre and finishes on Sunday,
2 November 2008.
